When we try to grow a product, we tend to intuitively imagine that we should continue to provide new and great features.
If we keep adding features with reasons like “there are a few users who use it” or “it doesn’t hurt to have it,” the excessive features can strain development resources, exceed user capacity, and slow down product growth.
In this session, we will introduce our efforts at Yahoo! JAPAN Flea Market, hoping it will give everyone a chance to pause and consider a subtractive approach.

I have been involved in UX research in the app and web domains since 2019, and I joined Yahoo Japan Corporation in 2022.
While learning design skills in the UI design team, I promoted UX research and am now focusing on establishing the UX research department and fostering a culture of UX research.
