Strategies for Consolidating "Yahoo! JAPAN Wallet" Microservices to Reduce Team Burden

Yahoo! JAPAN Wallet maintains numerous systems (microservices), and the burden of maintenance and operations has increased proportionally with the number of these systems, becoming a strain on team members.
To reduce this burden, Yahoo! JAPAN Wallet team reviewed the entire system and consolidated similar functionalities, reducing the number of systems.

In this session, I aim to share strategies for those facing similar challenges and considering system consolidation. I plan to cover the following topics:

  • Actual examples of microservices consolidation
  • Recommended way to consolidate microservices
  • Methods to secure resources for consolidation of microservices
